Neurodivergent Coaching

I can empower your neurodiversity journey with understanding and support.

Are You A Neurodivergent Person Struggling To Navigate Life In A Neurotypical World?

Do you feel like there’s a disconnect between you and your team?

Are you struggling to manage conflict and resolve workplace communication issues?

Despite your achievements, do you often suffer from feelings of ineptness or imposter syndrome?

Maybe you’re a leader in the workplace who feels like you’re not living up to your full potential. Although your company is successful and your team has grown significantly, something feels incomplete. You’ve become aware of a contrast between how you want your team to function and how they’re actually functioning. Maybe you have trouble connecting with other team members or feel inadequate in your role as a leader. For the first time, you might be thinking of working with an emotional intelligence coach.

Neurodivergence Is Gaining Recognition, But We Still Have A Long Way To Go

It’s no secret that our world isn’t accommodating to neurodivergent people. The education system, the modern-day workplace, and the vast majority of our institutions are designed to meet the needs of neurotypical folks. As a result, numerous people who are neurodivergent grow up with the message that they are different and different is wrong.

The truth is far from that—neurodivergent people are often brilliant minds, creative thinkers, and great artists and entrepreneurs. They simply have to navigate a world that wasn’t built with their interests in mind. Many of them experience misunderstandings at work, in the dating world, and even in the home.

Although the phenomenon of neurodivergence has gained traction in recent years, there is still so much progress to be made. Without the tools to successfully utilize their differences, many neurodivergent people feel lost, hopeless, and unsure of where to turn for support. In my coaching program, you can experience unconditional support from someone with years of experience helping neurodivergent people manage their symptoms and harness their strengths.

Neurodivergence Coaching Can Empower You To Thrive Because Of Your Differences, Not In Spite Of Them

A huge part of thriving with neurodivergence involves getting in touch with your authentic self. After all, we live in a society that tells us to hide our authentic selves. This makes it hard to connect with our gifts and utilize our superpowers. Coaching is a chance to get to know yourself on a deeper level and discover how you can use your neurodiversity to achieve success and empowerment.

I am a former educator, current therapist, and ICF (International Coaching Federation) certified coach with over two decades of experience helping people like you improve their emotional wellbeing and reach their goals. I care deeply about your story and I want to see you win. My goal is to help you figure out what you need in order to function at your best and take advantage of your unique gifts.

Your Neurodivergence Can Be Used As A Superpower

The fact that your brain operates differently doesn’t have to hold you back in life—it can even serve as an advantage. Having autism, ADHD, and other forms of neurodivergence can actually increase your cognitive functioning, allowing you to be more creative, connect with the world in unique ways, and concentrate on important tasks for long periods of time. At the same time, however, it isn’t always easy to figure out how to leverage these differences as strengths.

As a coach who specializes in working with neurodivergent folks, I’m confident that I can help you recognize your gifts and use them to maximize your joy. I want to empower you to live out the story that you were born to live by taking full advantage of your true creative potential.

What To Expect In Neurodivergent Coaching Sessions

My sessions provide a safe space where you can laugh, cry, vent, and share your joys and frustrations without any fear of judgment. Our time together can also be very strategic, focusing on ways you can address your core issues and accomplish your top goals. I will equip you with various techniques for achieving conflict resolution, improving communication, regulating your emotions, and living from an empowered state of mind.

Some of the main approaches that inform my work in coaching are listed below:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)—This approach to therapy views the self as made up of many different parts, each of which serves a different function in your life. If you’re neurodivergent, there may be parts of your personality that you learned to hide because society taught you that they were unacceptable. IFS seeks to help you get in touch with all of your parts, increasing your emotional awareness and strengthening your ability to communicate what’s going on inside you.

  • Motivational Interviewing—The solutions to many of your struggles already lie within you. Motivational Interviewing is a therapeutic approach that aims to help you discover these solutions by connecting with your innermost self and recognizing your unique abilities.

  • Ikigai Therapy—The word Ikigai means “reason for living” in Japanese. The goal of this approach is to help you find your purpose by connecting with your authentic self and leveraging your neurodiversity as a superpower.

By drawing from a wide range of approaches and giving you real-life strategies for improving your relationships, I’m confident that I can help you thrive not in spite of your neurodiversity, but because of it. Whether you have autism, ADHD, Aspergers, PTSD, or any other form of neurodivergence, I will tailor coaching to meet your needs and reflect the changes you want to see in your life.

You May Have Some Questions And Concerns About Neurodivergence Coaching…

What if I don’t have the time or money for coaching?

We all put our time and money toward what is important to us. While I don’t want you to overload your schedule or stretch your wallet thin, it’s worth asking how much of your time and energy is currently being used to try and manage your struggles. Coaching can help you connect with your life’s purpose, and when you are in tune with your purpose, it becomes much easier to reduce the amount of time and money you spend on things that aren’t ultimately important.

How long will neurodivergent coaching take?

I can’t guarantee the length of time coaching will take, but time is going to pass regardless of whether you seek coaching or not. That’s why I encourage you to be proactive and seek support. By learning to harness your gifts and utilize your differences in creative ways, you can bring positive change into every area of your life. Coaching can be short-term or long-term, but that’s ultimately beside the point—what’s important is that you experience healing, growth, and empowerment.

What if I’m judged for my neurodiversity?

I have been coaching neurodiverse clients for many years and I always strive to create an atmosphere of warmth, acceptance, and unconditional support. You will never be judged for your differences. Difference is a beautiful thing, especially in a world that’s characterized by sameness. If there are things about your neurodiversity that you feel ashamed of or judgmental toward, my goal as your coach is to help you challenge those feelings and see strengths where you previously saw weaknesses.
