Emotional Intelligence COACHING
I help you win at leadership in the workplace and beyond.
Are You A Leader Who’s Looking To Improve Your Emotional Intelligence?
Do you feel like there’s a disconnect between you and your team?
Are you struggling to manage conflict and resolve workplace communication issues?
Despite your achievements, do you often suffer from feelings of ineptness or imposter syndrome?
Maybe you’re a leader in the workplace who feels like you’re not living up to your full potential. Although your company is successful and your team has grown significantly, something feels incomplete. You’ve become aware of a contrast between how you want your team to function and how they’re actually functioning. Maybe you have trouble connecting with other team members or feel inadequate in your role as a leader. For the first time, you might be thinking of working with an emotional intelligence coach.
Many Leaders Face Communication Issues With Their Teams
Conflict is a natural and inevitable byproduct of working as a team. The key is accepting conflict when it arises and being willing to work through it and use it for the team’s good. After all, so many companies live with crippled conflict—communication blockages just go on and on and fester instead of being repaired. And when team members can’t communicate with intention, connection, and authenticity, it’s hard to maximize a company’s effectiveness.
Oftentimes, communication breaks down because leaders aren’t connected to their values or clear about their priorities. This leads to a lack of common goals among team members and a scattered sense of purpose and direction. It’s like everyone is working toward a different objective, which makes it hard to run a company efficiently. For a leader and their team to be successful, there needs to be a sense of purpose-driven connection.
When Problems Arise In The Workplace, Many Leaders Don’t Know Where To Turn
Most leaders are used to being self-sufficient. In the world of business, it’s not exactly popular to seek emotional support when difficulties arise. That said, there are limitations to relying on our own power. Many of us have experienced traumas and workplace difficulties that taught us to respond to problems in a certain way, and this way may not always be helpful or effective.
For example, if we were in a toxic relationship in a previous business, we might have learned to shy away from conflict out of fear of angering the other person. This may have helped us in the past, but it may not work in our current situation if we have a new team on our hands.
Sometimes we all need to update the ways that we communicate and problem-solve. Coaching is a chance to stop relying on what you’ve already done and start maximizing your leadership skills.
Do You Want To Create A Climate Of Increased Connectivity In Your Workplace?
In addition to improving your own emotional intelligence, perhaps you want to help your team improve theirs. If your team can function in a strengthened way, the outcome is increased connectivity and better productivity, which can impact your revenue and reach as a company.
Yet at the moment, the climate of your workplace might be disconnected and unfocused. Perhaps no one seems to be on the same page about company goals and values. Maybe you’ve been trying to solve this disconnection by relying on solutions that worked in the past, but you find that they’re no longer effective. You’ve realized that it’s time to update your skillset and expand on what you know.
If this is the case, I encourage you to pursue emotional intelligence coaching with me. My mission is to help you increase your sense of empowerment, add to your repertoire of leadership skills, and live in a way that’s aligned with your values.
Coaching Can Help You Improve Your Emotional Intelligence In The Workplace
You and your team will encounter conflict—it’s not only part of running a business, but part of being human. Coaching can teach you to navigate conflict from a thoughtful and empowered state of mind, ensuring that communication breakdowns are managed in a way that benefits your whole company.
After all, communication is the biggest driver of a company’s functionality. One of the goals of emotional intelligence coaching is to support you in having courageous conversations with your team members, enabling you to manage conflict wisely and maximize the function of your organization. I want you to experience connection at the highest level, because when there is connection, it is easier to work toward common goals and share a common purpose.
In addition to being an ICF-certified life coach and former educator, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with decades of experience teaching individuals how to increase their emotional intelligence. I'm confident that I can empower you to build on your leadership skills, learn new conflict resolution strategies, and live out the story you were always born to live.
What To Expect In Emotional Intelligence Coaching Sessions
My approach to coaching is very psychoeducational and solution-focused. In the beginning, you and I will determine your core issues and develop a game plan for addressing them. My sessions will provide you with a space to vent and share your frustrations as well as focus on strategies for improving communication in the workplace.
Some of the main treatment methods I draw from are listed below:
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy—The goal of this approach is to help you conceptualize the leader you want to be and act in a way that aligns with that. When you see yourself responding in the best way possible, what does that look like? IFS can help you answer this question so that you operate from your strongest and most authentic self.
Motivational Interviewing—The idea behind Motivational Interviewing is that the answers to most of your challenges already lie within you. My role as a coach is to help you connect with those answers through questions about how you want to function, communicate, and navigate conflict.
Ikigai—in Japanese, Ikigai essentially means “reason for living.” As an approach, Ikigai is all about finding your purpose and exploring how it manifests in your leadership. It can help you lead in a way that ties into your values so that you’re operating from a thoughtful and empowered place.
No matter which approach works best for you, I believe that you and I can come up with a plan that brings your leadership goals to fruition and enables you to experience a more meaningful connection with your team.
You May Have Some Questions About Emotional Intelligence Coaching…
What if I don’t have the money for coaching?
I invite you to consider: what is the cost of not making a move toward change? How much energy are you already spending worrying about work dynamics? Coaching is a chance to look at your situation differently and learn new ways of relating to your team. What’s more, I offer multiple coaching packages so that you have autonomy in choosing the best route for yourself!
What if my schedule is too full to attend regular sessions?
I understand that your life is busy, but it’s worth asking if it truly reflects your true values and goals. How much energy are you spending responding to issues because of a lack of skills in the area of emotional intelligence? How much time could you gain by investing in and strengthening these deficits? Prioritizing your leadership abilities can help you reduce the amount of time you spend getting stuck in the crosshairs of conflict and miscommunication.
Will this really make a difference in my life?
The coaching process is always reflective, meaning that we’re always touching back to see where you are and make sure you’re getting your needs met. Together, we will consistently evaluate whether coaching is making a difference in your life and look at what can be adjusted so that you can more easily meet your goals.
